"The Heinrich Maneuver" de Interpol

Hoy es viernes y toca canción. En concreto "The Heinrich Maneuver", un tema del grupo neoyorquino de indie rock Interpol, perteneciente a su tercer álbum "Our Love to Admire". El título es un juego de palabras con la maniobra de Heimlich (que se usa en primeros auxilios) y alude a la novela "Ruido de fondo" de Don DeLillo.

Se trata de una de esas canciones que me llegaron de la mano del gran Jesús Gallego (ahora flamante nuevo director de "Carrusel Deportivo" en la Cadena SER) cuando dirigía "SER Deportivos". Es uno de esos temas típicos de los que sacaba en el programa: con ritmo, melodía pegadiza, guitarras rockeras y con ese toque alternativillo que me gusta a mí. La razón de sacarla hoy por aquí es curiosa: resulta que hay un tipo en mi oficina que la tiene como tono del móvil del trabajo, y últimamente no hago más que oír ese arrollador inicio con "How are things on the West Coast?...". Aunque esté sonando mucho, el caso es que no me cansa...Espero que al que pase por aquí tampoco. Como siempre pongo unos vídeos y la letra a continuación.
